Scaler NSET — Your Admission Story

How admission works

1. Step 1

   Check Eligibility

   Verify you meet the age and academic criteria: under ~20 years old as of mid-2026, Class XII completed or in progress, and 60%+ in Mathematics.

2. Step 2

   Submit Application Online

   Fill in your personal and academic details, pay the application fee, record a short video essay about why you want to join, then schedule your NSET slot and interview.

3. Step 3

   Clear NSET or Qualify via Fast Track

   Either sit for the NSET exam (up to 3 attempts per academic year) or skip it entirely if you have qualifying JEE or SAT scores.

4. Step 4

   Two Interview Rounds

   Both rounds focus on mathematical reasoning, communication, and motivation. Each candidate can attempt the interview round up to 2 times per academic year.

5. Step 5

   Admission Decision

   Scaler states results are typically shared within 7–10 days of the interview. You will be either Accepted or Rejected.

How NSET actually works

Online, proctored, 2 hours — Maths + Logical Reasoning, each with its own cutoff. Laptop with webcam required; phones are not allowed. Up to 3 attempts per year.

• • Clear both section cutoffs independently — one strong section does not carry the other.
• • Or skip the written exam via Fast Track (JEE / SAT thresholds).
• • After clearing: usually 2 interview rounds (AI + human).
